2013 Carl and Gerty Cori Lecture

Dr. James Spudich was selected as this year’s Carl and Gerty Cori Lecturer. He is the Douglass M. and Nola Leishman Professor of Cardiovascular Disease at Stanford University. Dr. Spudich’s lecture was entitled “The Underlying Molecular Basis of Human Hypertrophic and Dilated Cardiomyopathies”. The lecture with a reception that followed was held in the Eric P. Newman Education Center on May 8th. As a special guest, Dr. John Exton was also invited. He had just published “The Crucible of Science – The Story of the Cori Laboratory”. For photos
